Keiko Kasamatsu is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Art at Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan. Her research focuses on human-centered design, ergonomics, user experience (UX), activity-based working (ABW), and design for empowerment. She investigates how products, services, and workplace environments can enhance well-being, foster creativity, and support people in realizing their potential.
Her work spans ergonomics, human-computer interaction, participatory design, service design, and workplace innovation. She has contributed to international research projects and standardization activities related to workplace environments and human-centered systems. She also serves on the editorial board of the Japan Ergonomics Society.
